Even as swept the polls in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) appears to be worried lot.

M K Stalin, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President, is continuously opposing the BJP and its ideology, and he where well know what is in store for the state once BJP comes back to power at Centre again. It is the reason why Stalin is unhappy.

On his side, DMK is organised well with other parties in INDI alliance which include, Congress, CPI (M), CPI, IUML, Viduthalai Chruthaigal Katchi, Marumalarchi Draida Unnetra Kazhagam. The entire block could contribute well for the wining of the Indi Alliance. While on the other side, BJP had no tie up with AIADMK which is divided house.

It is blessing in disguise for Stalin party that BJP fell short of majority and now it became part of the coalition partner, hence it may be prevented from causing more trouble to DMK government in the state.

Observers say that TDP Chandrababu Naidu and JD(U) Nitish Kumar are friends of Stalin and even he made his effort to call Naidu in Delhi and congratulated him on his victory in AP.

Stalin’s worry is the persuasive nature of Modi would mould the mood of the Tamil people towards ‘sanatana dharma’, which is the hallmark of BJP ideology as against DMK’s Dravidian ideology.

Further, Stalin fears about the “vendetta politics” of BJP, for which the party had suffered earlier where central agencies targeting DMK leaders.

Only future will tell who is right.
