With the induction of J P Nadda in to the Cabinet opens up discussion on his successor. The party president is more pivotal at this point of time when the BJP is short of 32 MPs for the simple majority in the Lok Sabha.
Although Nadda’s term as party’s President is coming to an end in June itself and his induction in to Cabinet is a common process, the observers feel more to it in the wake of his remarks, at the last leg of campaign, that BJP now can stand on its own legs, perhaps, not liked by its ideological guru “Rashtriya Swayam Savek Sangh”.
RSS Sir Sanghachalak, Sri Mohan Bhagwat has, more recently, points how a ‘Sevak’ shall behave, he said the “Swayamsevaks” do his work with utmost ‘decorum’ and remain ‘unattached’. He should not show any arrogance that I did this, and only that person can call himself as SEVAK.
The flow of ideology from RSS to BJP is known fact. And it is also understood that RSS will not directly involve in the policy decision of the Party but it will send their pracharaks as Organizing Secretaries to all its ‘anyakshetras’ (other wings).
Nadda’s remarks were not accepted by the RSS-lower cadres and the results are seen in the UP, Maharashtra etc.
Even as the party is engaged in the membership drive before the organizational elections, it is more appropriate to have a meaningful discussion between top leadership of BJP and RSS in the issue of the next BJP President. He must be acceptable and respected by all the wings of the RSS.
