Just 2nd round elections completed and the Muslim secular groups have started campaigning how the country would be, if Modi comes to power in the post 2024 polls.
Their fear would be Modi will seriously takes up the issue of Shahi Idgah Masjid in Mathura, besides already raised Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi.
The secular pundits are once again seeing the monster from the comments made by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat over Gyanvapi controversy, “Why look for Shiv Linga in every Masjid”? Nothing substantial had happened on that comment, even though it is very serious observation. He also pointed out that the youth of this country, especially Muslims, are not responsible for any untoward happenings some years back.
Interestingly, muslim scholars raise the issue of suppression tactics by the British in 1857 rebellion and claims that these sacrifices are barely been recognised by the Hindu fundamentalists. The Delhi’s Jama Masjid was taken over by the British army and used it as military barrack. These pundits always forget that Hindus were subjected to horrors, killed mercilessly, looted everything etc, before the British entre Bharath. The suppression of Hindus is much more serious and they suffered under Muslim rulers and equally under British rulers.
Thus, the battle for Mandir and Masjid would further continue beyond and takes deeper political colour, whether BJP or other party wins in this election.
