About 3 lakh had first darshan of Ram Lalla

It is a pride movement for about 3 lakh-odd Rama devotees to have darshan of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on Tuesday, for the first day. 23rd January, 2024, when the temple was thrown open for general public.

The Rama devotees have started assembling before the temple very early morning at the gates chanting ‘jai sri ram’ and waving Ram flags. It was  tough time for the security forces to control the enthused devotees who want to have darshan of Lord Ram Lalla

There are a huge number of devotees waiting at the temple gates for hours together to have few seconds glimpse of Lord Rama idol. While the devotees form other parts and states are thronging the temple town, the locals are feeling the trouble.

The consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya is a testament to a five century-long strenuous struggle by Hindus. This journey is culmination of ordeal of countless disputes, marred with violence and prolonged legal tussle. Finally, Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya became reality much to the delight of Hindus’ across the globe.

The struggle for Ram Janmabhoomi has its roots in the history and it revolved around the Babri Masjid, which was constructed after dismantling the earlier Sri Ram temple there by the generals of Babar. This became the flashpoint for the entire struggle for centuries on all fronts.

The unrelenting deep devotion of the Ram’s devotees over generations has driven this struggle, and their fight ranging from the political and societal opposition finally culminated to build Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.  

In the struggle for Ram Janam Bhumi, the stalwarts Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Vinay Katiyar,Uma Bharti, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Ashok Singhal, Kothari brothers and Praveen Togadia, played vital role which finally fructified with the Supreme Court Judgment resolving the land dispute between Hindus  and Muslims, paving way to construct temple at the disputed land, while Muslims were given another piece of land little away for construction of Masque.

Finally, The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya will be held on January 22 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of several other dignitaries.
