Giving fillip to the real-estate business, the Telangana government is focusing to Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, which was put in to back-burner by earlier government.
The project was developed as part of Bharat Mala Pariyojana project of Union government and proposed to take up 158 KM road works around the Hyderabad city, as part of phase 1.
This project expected to accelerate industrialisation in the state on a fast-pace. While the proposal is to encourage Urban industrialisation around the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and semi-urban industrial cluster between ORR and RRR and rural industrial clusters beyond RRR.
The state government has to bear the half of the cost of the project while the central government will invest half the cost. It is proposed to acquire about 1,935 acres of land to ground the project. While the state, so far, acquired about 1,450 acres of land, meanwhile issues cropped up with NHAI authorities, which the previous government did not resolve, thus stalling the on-going works.
