Asset quality improved: Reserve Bank

Giving relief to Modi government, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its report said that the gross non-performing assets ratio of scheduled commercial banks is improved in the second quarter of Financial Year 2024.

“The GNPA ration of SCBs fell to a decadal low of 3.9% at end March 2023 and further to 3.2% at end September 2023.”

All these good news may be viewed as the Indian economy is strengthening day-by-day, says senior bankers claiming that the economy is all set to regain its lost ground.

However, the bankers’ bank cautioned that the banks must guard against the credit losses.
