If the party comes to power, the Congress party vowed to undo all the policy initiatives and promises made by the BJP government. It would probe electoral bonds scheme, PM Cares Fund and rejects the concept of ‘one nation, one election’.
The party released the Manifesto, which is headed by the former Finance Minister Mr P Chidambaram. The party aiming to come to power said that it would probe into major defence deals including Rafale fighter jet deal, Pegasus spyware and demonetization.
It would bring stringent laws to curb hate crimes, communal conflicts, mob lynching, encounter killings and bull-dozer justice. The manifesto also promised that it would not interfere into the personal life of the citizen such as food, dress or right to marry etc.
It also proposed serious measures in the international policies such as the present irritation with China will be brought back to status quo ante and to be quiet attention to the border issues and resolute defence preparedness.
It also proposes to one-time waiver of all educational loans, special status to Andhra Pradesh, state-hood to J&K, constitution amendment to include Ladakh in the sixth Schedule etc.
